interviewsInTheStudio is a virtual community that uses the internet and technology to produce the highest quality at a price even non profits can afford – and often can't match even if they do it themselves in-house. How do we do this? Many small ways that add up to big savings:
- Compact physical plant. We operate two high tech/small footprint studios. No downtown office space or expensive rent.
- Digital technology. Everything we do is done digitally, which allows an engineer to be in one studio, an interviewer in another and our clients anywhere in the world.
- Community organization. Everyone who assembles your podcast is an expert with years of experience. But everyone who assembles your podcast is an independent contractor. There is no overhead that we have to build into your cost.
- Online marketing. From Patrick's blog at socialedge to Brian's work on radio, to Lynn's expertise in online marketing and measurement, we know how to market ourselves and you online at low cost. That savings goes into your pocket.
So what do we charge?
Basic Service: $250
- Production of one finished podcast up to 20 minutes in length. Patrick will interview one or two people specified by the client anywhere in the world. (phone charges will apply outside the US)
- Intro and outro recorded, using our professional voice talent reading client-approved scripts
- Rights-free music (client provided with choice of music)
- One set of edits requested by client
- Consult on podcast design
- Consult on audience targeting and audience building
Go all the Way Podcast Service: $350

Full Podcast and Online Market Service: $400
- Production of finished podcast of any length. Patrick will interview one or two people specified by the client. (no phone charges anywhere in the world)

Podcast Series
InTheStudio excels in producing podcast series or ongoing podcast programs posted as often as twice a week. Because there are cost efficiencies in producing a series or a regular program, InTheStudio can pass these savings on to our clients in the form of lower per unit costs.
Basic. $900 on a contract for 4 podcasts per month (min. 3 months)
The Basic Format involves a weekly interview with one or two people with a delivered time of 12 minutes or less, using a standard introduction, music package and outro. This is a savings of $100 per month over separate podcasts. Consultation on design and promotion of the series is included; phone charges and excess edits are extra.
Premium. $1250 on contract for 4 podcasts a month (min. 1 months)
The Premium Format involves a weekly interview with one or two people of any length. Each show can be introduced with a customized introduction, plus a standard music package and outro. You are allowed three sets of changes/edits. This is a savings of $150 per month over separate podcasts and gives you more service. Consultation on design and promotion of the series is included; podcasts will also be posted on the InTheStudio website for RSS subscription.. No phone charges for international interviews.
Builds: by estimate, depending on client needs.
Builds are finished files we produce from audio provided by our clients. Builds can be created from recordings of panels or lectures, on-stage conversations, debates – any audio recorded (legally) by our clients. We "clean it up", removing hisses, crackles, static, background noise and extraneous words or sounds (to the degree technically possible, but we're pretty good), create and record an introduction, music and an outro. When we are provided with several hours of recordings by a client, we can clean it, break up it into self-contained segments and produce it as a finished series of podcasts.
Bookcasts: $350
Same service as basic podcast, but with included reading from the book by our voice talent..
